Does the baby hate drooling because of calcium deficiency?

Patient's question:

My baby is one year old and very healthy and cute, but he loves drooling. During the day when he plays, it drips down. I have to wipe it occasionally. At night when he sleeps, almost every day there is drool coming out. A lady from the apartment above me said that drooling in children is a sign of calcium deficiency. Is that true?
What kind of help I am looking for: My baby drools frequently. Is it due to calcium deficiency? Are there any good methods?

Doctor's answer:

The baby dislikes drooling. During playtime in the daytime, drool often drips down, requiring frequent wiping. At night when taking naps, drooling almost happens every day, which might be due to the baby's swallowing function not yet fully developed. It is recommended to provide additional swallowing function training for the baby. During the critical period for expanding swallowing and chewing abilities, extra training can be implemented to enhance the development of the baby's swallowing function. The above suggestions are in response to the question "Is drooling in infants caused by calcium deficiency?" and are hoped to be helpful to you. Wishing you good health!
