The World Treasury of Young Adult Literature -- The Call of the Wild

Author: Jack London

Publish Date: 2001-07-01
Features: Jack London's naturalistic ideas are sufficiently reflected in The Call of the Wild. It is a very exquisite novel. The entire story is set against the Alaskan gold rush and tells the process of how Buck, a domesticated dog from the south, degenerates into a wild, half-dog and half-wolf state for survival under the harsh northern environment.
