Features: The main readers of this book are students from higher vocational and technical colleges. According to the characteristics of current Chinese vocational students, this book strives to be concise in content, emphasizes practical applications, and presents theoretical descriptions in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Simple algorithms are also adopted in the description of algorithms. Examples are configured as much as possible to reflect the main theoretical knowledge while being concise. To facilitate students in reviewing and consolidating the knowledge they have learned, each chapter of this book is accompanied by summaries and exercises. Through the study of summaries, students can gain a systematic and comprehensive understanding of the main knowledge points of each chapter; by completing exercises, they can deepen their understanding of basic concepts, improve their programming skills, and enhance their ability to debug programs. This book is divided into 9 chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the basic concepts of data structures from three aspects: logical structure, storage structure, and data operations. Chapters 2 to 6 introduce linear structures, providing a detailed explanation of common data structures such as linear lists, linked lists, arrays, stacks, and queues, as well as common algorithms like sorting and searching. Chapter 7 introduces tree structures. Chapter 8 discusses graph structures. Chapter 9 introduces the basic concepts and structures of files. This book is written for the "Data Structures" course of computer-related majors in higher vocational and technical colleges. According to the characteristics of Chinese vocational students, this book follows the principles of being broad, innovative, shallow, and sufficient, aiming to describe theoretical parts in an accessible and easy-to-understand manner, supplemented by a certain number of examples for self-study. The book uses C language, which is a compulsory course for vocational computer students, as the algorithm description language. To facilitate students in summarizing and consolidating the knowledge they have learned after class, summaries and a certain number of exercises are provided at the end of each chapter. This book can be used as a textbook for "Data Structures" courses in higher vocational and technical colleges and junior colleges, as well as a self-study reference book for computer engineering and technology professionals.
