Is the coffee-colored blood on the tissue baby's?

Patient's question:

A baby born on January 13, 2019, had coffee-colored blood on their mouth wipe this morning, along with a thumb-length streak of fresh blood. If the fresh blood was from the baby, was there blood all inside the baby's mouth at that time? However, we didn’t see any blood in the baby’s mouth at the time, so we suspected the blood came from the nipple because the baby had just started breastfeeding and had no milk before. The baby has now been transferred to another hospital, and the doctor said to wait and see. We’re worried the doctor is trying to take advantage of us. (Additionally, is the color of the blood the same as when it is vomited out with the milk?)

Doctor's answer:

According to your description of your condition, it is best to go to the provincial hospital for a check-up, because big hospitals have detailed examination equipment and conditions. Just take a look and you'll be at ease if everything is fine. Regarding the color, it's possible that the baby might vomit after drinking it, so you don't need to worry too much. Because at the beginning, the color of the breast milk is definitely different from what you imagine.
