Features: This book is divided into two parts. The first part analyzes the causes of globalization from aspects such as society, politics, and the economy. The second part comprehensively explores the impacts of globalization from perspectives like political economy, sociology, and communication studies. In other words, this book will focus on explaining the origins, mechanisms, and developmental direction of globalization. In Chapter 1, it organizes and clarifies Marx's relevant arguments. On this basis, it further discusses the theoretical issues involved in globalization. Chapter 2 discusses the evolution of Western companies. The "personalized" secondary nature of capital is manifested through the form of companies. If the "personalized" nature of capital and its vitality determine the direction of company development, then the scale of companies and the scope of the market are the foundation of social change. Chapter 4 discusses the evolution of consumer culture in capitalist societies, the role of media, and globalization. Chapter 5 points out that in the era of economic globalization, if we fail to rapidly enrich the majority of the population, if we focus on "Made in China" rather than "Made in China" (i.e., "China Creativity"), it will mean the end of our nation—or the end of our national culture. Chapter 6 discusses that before companies formed global alliances, they had already united within their home countries and were politically well-prepared. In Chapter 7 of this book, it discusses the repositioning of social relationships in the era of globalization. This repositioning is centered around multinational companies. In Chapter 8, it discusses the relationship between different media and the capitalist economy. The author emphasizes that when a new communication technology system emerges, not all the interests and characteristics of various forces, classes, groups, or organizations within the existing social, economic, political, and cultural structures are compatible with the new communication technology's inherent or demonstrated features. The content of this book is comprehensive, well-structured, clear, well-supported by data, vivid in writing, and integrates scientificity, theoretical depth, knowledge, and guidance, making it very worthwhile to read.
