Why do 3-year-old babies have recurrent fever?

Patient's question:

Diarrhea for 3 days improved, then fever started. At 6-7 AM, the fever was over 38°C, and after taking fever-reducing medication, it returned at 6-7 PM. This pattern lasted for 3 days. I have been taking Sizima Decoction, Seabuckthorn Dry Emulsion, and Vitamin B1. Stool and blood tests were normal! I have mouth ulcers, which have been present for over a week, and I was prescribed a topical spray at the hospital. The surrounding area is still red now!

Why am I having recurrent fever?

Doctor's answer:

Baby has a fever, it is recommended to do a complete blood count to check if it is caused by a viral infection or a bacterial infection. Simply using fever-reducing medication is not effective. It is recommended to use antibiotics for treatment and drink more water. Medical alcohol can be used for physical cooling of the baby's body.
Additionally, fever in children is often caused by diseases such as gastrointestinal digestive dysfunction. On the basis of physical cooling, if the temperature is below 38.5°C, use fever-reducing medication. If accompanied by symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, or reduced appetite, anti-inflammatory and antiviral treatment should be administered.
