How to deal with a child experiencing headaches and headaches eight times a day?

Patient's question:

During the National Day holiday, the child said they had a headache and aching, similar to the feeling. It happened seven or eight times in one day. They went to the county hospital for an electroencephalogram (EEG), which showed abnormal slow waves. They then immediately had a brain CT, which came back normal. Two relatives are doctors, and they looked at the results and said it was nothing to worry about. The EEG abnormalities don’t prove anything; as long as the CT is normal, there’s no need to be concerned. They suspect the pressure from schoolwork is too high, so the child hasn’t done any homework for the past month. However, the child still has symptoms of discomfort in their head. Last week, the child had a fever, and blood tests showed a weak positive result for mycoplasma infection. They were hospitalized for a week and received azithromycin through an IV. When discharged, the test results were still weakly positive (the blood test was also done during the EEG at the National Day holiday and was weakly positive). During the days they were hospitalized and receiving IV fluids, the head pain and aching didn’t bother them much. But in the last two days after discharge, the head pain has returned to its previous state. I asked the child carefully, and they described the recurrence as a wave-like, balloon-like sensation—hard to describe as either pain or aching.
Doctors, what could be going on? If they go to the hospital, which department should they see?

Doctor's answer:

Has this patient experienced this condition before? Additionally, besides fever, has the patient used any medications specifically for headaches? First, the patient's condition still requires a detailed review of their specific situation. The headache symptoms you described do not show any obvious abnormal signs. At this point, it may be worth considering traditional Chinese medicine to implement a re-adjustment, which is generally effective in appropriately re-adjusting the condition.
