What is the reason for vomiting after a child falls down?

Patient's question:

I want to ask that my child is one and a half years old. Around 5:30 PM today, he fell down at the outpatient clinic and then vomited. He was seen by the outpatient doctor, who said it was nothing serious. However, when he went home for dinner, he only ate two bites and then vomited everything back up. After that, even though he didn't eat anything more, he still kept vomiting. I want to ask what could be the reason?

Doctor's answer:

If the baby falls without hitting their head, it is usually not a problem. If the baby is vomiting, first check if it could be due to indigestion or catching a cold. Additionally, observe the baby's mental state, as sometimes excessive shock can also cause vomiting. However, if the child cries and has a headache after falling, especially if vomiting and nausea reappear, it should be taken seriously. This may indicate increased intracranial pressure. It is recommended to have a head CT scan.
