Features: Once morality is exiled, resources inevitably flee. On the land where resources are lost, corruption and shamelessness take root deeply. The deterioration of the ecological environment is in fact the deterioration of humanistic spirit. Humanistic spirit, so exiled in the wilderness of civilization, and the extreme greed following the population explosion, along with the vast wealth gap, make the further degradation of the ecological environment almost a historical certainty. Everything that occurs in the exile wilderness can be traced back to deep internal causes in cultural structure, institutional structure, and human quality. While improving the legal system, it is also necessary to fundamentally establish true ideals, morality, humanistic spirit, and fair mechanisms.
The mysterious world of the highest average elevation in China's Northwest. The remote land in China's Northwest, the cradle of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. It must be said—that here lies an even more rarely known landscape of exile. From Ma Bufo's brutal methods of extracting intestines, scalping, and lighting oil lamps on prisoners, to the inculpable sentencing and collective punishment during the Anti-Rightist Campaign and the Cultural Revolution, the barbarity, cruelty, bloodlust, and ignorance of humanity in the exile wilderness have not only reverted to primal savagery but surpassed even the ancient myths and legends of this harsh land. Those who walk the history of exile stumble, leaving trails that stretch endlessly—executioners, state advisors, military intelligence agents, rightist targets, labor camp directors, victims of the Cultural Revolution, governors, poets, writers, corrupt officials, prostitutes, gamblers, gold bullies, bandits, poachers, and gambling traffickers. By the late 20th century, the diverse exiles, in all their forms, unleashed rampant hunting and killing, destroyed the ecological environment, engaged in absurd acts of officials colluding with pornography, and sought wealth through power, money, and sex. The sight is shocking. Alongside countless exiles exiled to the vast wilderness were the humanistic spirit and the remaining natural resources within the organization of the Ministry of Personnel.
Through arduous interviews and sharp insights, the author warns: If our cultural structure, moral structure, institutional structure, and fair mechanisms fail to effectively restrain the escalating greed of humanity following the population explosion, the consequences will be unthinkable.
