Why is the baby's stool acidic after 3 weeks?

Patient's question:

In recent days, my boss has said that I'm not in good spirits, which has affected my work performance. Actually, I didn't mean to, either. I often can't sleep at night, and sometimes I feel anxious and uncomfortable. If it gets worse, I'm worried it will affect my health and work. Could you please tell me why a 3-week-old baby's stool is acidic?

Doctor's answer:

Your condition may be due to indigestion. It is recommended not to eat greasy foods. You can use Baohe Pill with modifications for treatment, or roast radish seeds, remove the shells, and decoct them for drinking, which is quite effective.
Boiled water is the best laxative for infants. Infants need a large amount of water daily, with each feeding amount being about half of the milk intake:
- First week: 30 ml
- Second week: 45 ml
- One month: 50–60 ml
- Three months: 60–75 ml
- Four months: 70–80 ml
- Six months: 80–100 ml
- Eight to 12 months: 100–120 ml.
Increase water intake appropriately in summer. More frequent hydration is needed during colds, fever, vomiting, or diarrhea with dehydration.
