Why does hand, foot, and mouth disease always have a fever at night?

Patient's question:

I don't know what's going on, but my child has been misbehaving and crying non-stop lately. Even the hospital check-ups haven't helped. Could you please explain why hand, foot, and mouth disease always causes fever at night?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, it is recommended not to exceed 38 degrees Celsius, as medication is not necessary. Physical cooling methods can be used, such as applying alcohol to the body and washing the face and forehead with warm water.
If the temperature exceeds 38 degrees Celsius, ibuprofen suspension or naproxen can be taken. Additionally, you may choose one of the following options to apply to the affected oral area: (Xīguāshuāng), (Bīngbóngsǎn), or (Xīlèisǎn).
For severe hand and foot blisters, you may use either (Rúyìhuángjīnsǎn) or (Qīngdàisǎn). Mix with sesame oil and apply to the affected blisters.
