What is the cause of red and black in the infant's anus?

Patient's question:

I am 36 years old this year, and I have recently been feeling unwell. During the day, I sometimes feel dizzy, and it has affected my work. At night, I can't sleep, and the medicine I took doesn't seem to work well. What could be the reason for a red and black anus in infants?

Doctor's answer:

Your baby is experiencing indigestion and diaper rash, also known as diaper dermatitis. The stool is loose or watery, containing curds or foam. Frequent bowel movements and delayed or improper diaper changes can easily cause redness around the anus, with some cases showing leakage or blisters. In your case, it may be subcutaneous bleeding, which can appear as pinprick-sized spots (petechiae) or as a large area. If there are no symptoms of pressure, treatment may not be necessary. However, severe hematomas may require aspiration or incision.
