Can children take a shower after getting an intravenous injection?

Patient's question:

The child has been crying non-stop recently and isn't eating much. May I ask if the child can take a bath after receiving an intravenous drip?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, needle wounds do not get infected, but it is not advisable to take a bath when there are wounds, or when a cold or pneumonia has not yet fully recovered, to avoid stimulating the patient with temperature changes, which may worsen the condition.
Food with high sugar content, such as preserved fruits, candies, chocolates, Chinese pastries, and various ice creams and snow creams, can easily cause a feeling of fullness after consumption, thereby affecting regular meals, leading to nutritional imbalances and causing dental caries in children. Additionally, processed, smoked, or fried foods, such as lamb skewers, salted beef jerky, and various puffed snacks, are also not suitable as children's snacks. During processing, most of the nutrients in these foods are destroyed, and they may also produce carcinogenic or toxic substances. For example, the toxicity in one roasted chicken leg is approximately equivalent to 60 cigarettes.
As for foods like biscuits and instant noodles, due to their high calorie content and extremely low nutritional value, they are also not advisable as children's snacks.
