What is the normal value for the transdermal jaundice meter?

Patient's question:

The baby just born doesn't know what's wrong, there are always red spots on the body, and it spits up milk. Please ask, what value is considered normal for the transcutaneous bilirubin meter?

Doctor's answer:

Generally, the data measured percutaneously should be less than 10 (the values may vary slightly depending on the instrument); if blood is drawn to measure bilirubin levels in the blood, the normal value is usually less than 205 umol/l (12 mg/dl). For a normal infant at 30 days, the total bilirubin normal range is 1.7 to 17.1 umol/l (0.1 to 1.0 mg/dl). Direct bilirubin is 0 to 6.8 umol/l (0 to 0.4 mg/dl). Indirect bilirubin is 1.7 to 10.2 umol/l (0.1 to 0.6 mg/dl).
