Features: Regarding the evidence submission system, evidence submitted excessively late should generally no longer possess evidentiary value, not because of a lack of objectivity, but because of a lack of timeliness. Delayed justice is not justice. Accepting excessively late evidence will inevitably lead to inefficiency in litigation, the surprise element in the parties' offensive and defensive measures, and even weaken the authority of judicial rulings. Therefore, establishing an evidence submission time limit system is an inherent requirement for judicial fairness and an important component of the evidence acceptance system. The evidence acceptance system primarily involves the admissibility of evidence and the judgment of its truthfulness and degree of proof. To limit judges' arbitrary acceptance and evaluation of evidence, a series of evidence acceptance rules need to be established. However, due to the uniqueness of cases and the diversity of evidence, overly emphasizing the uniformity of rules may hinder the discovery of the truth of the case and contradict the very purpose of establishing the rules. This book attempts to study the rules of evidence evaluation and their intrinsic mechanisms to coordinate the relationship between the two.
