How to treat teething in a two-month-old baby

Patient's question:

I am 36 years old this year, and recently I have been feeling unwell. During the day, I sometimes feel dizzy, and it has also affected my work. I can't sleep at night, and the medicine I took doesn't seem to help much. How should I treat teething in a two-month-old baby?

Doctor's answer:

It is caused by the rapid and premature development of the dental germ. Such early-erupting teeth generally do not develop well or fully, and there may be cases where the tooth erupts before the root is fully developed. This can later lead to the tooth becoming loose or falling out. This needs to be paid attention to during infancy. When the baby is sleeping at night, if they experience intermittent crying or sobbing, this is known as night crying. Children generally do not cry for no reason; if they cry incessantly, it is definitely due to some discomfort. Frequent night crying not only deprives the child of adequate sleep, affecting their growth and development, but it also significantly impacts the parents' rest. Therefore, preventing night crying in children is not a minor issue.
