Can a ten-month-old child eat desloratadine?

Patient's question:

I don't know if he has this condition, and his mental state isn't good either. Can a ten-month-old child take desloratadine?

Doctor's answer:

Adults and children over 6 years old with impaired renal function (GFR < 30 ml/min) should start with a dose of 10 ml, once every other day. For children aged 2-5 with impaired renal function, the starting dose is 5 ml, once every other day.
Lychees are now in season, and while delicious, they are not advisable to eat in large quantities, especially for children. There has been an increase in cases of oral ulcers, inflamed oral mucosa, nosebleeds, and internal heat among those who overindulge in lychees compared to before.
