Features: To improve the form of self-tuition education for higher education self-study examinations and promote the development of higher education self-study examinations, we have organized the writing of self-study guidance books for the National Higher Education Self-Study Examination. The self-study guidance books are based on the syllabus for course self-study examinations announced by the National Examination Committee and use the unified self-study textbooks as a blueprint, aiming to help learners achieve their learning goals and pass the national examinations smoothly. Self-study guidance books are an important part of the educational media for higher education self-study examinations. We will continue to organize the writing and publishing of various self-study media, including written, audio, and video formats, to form a complete self-study media system that is matched with the syllabus and textbooks. This book is a self-study guidance book written to accompany the "Building Materials" textbook, with the purpose of guiding learners on how to conduct self-study. The preface of this book introduces the learning methods for this course. It is proposed in response to the characteristics of this course and serves as the basic learning method for self-studying this course. It is required that students read it carefully, fully grasp it, and consciously apply it in the learning of each chapter. In the self-study guidance for each chapter, the following sections are arranged:
1. Key Knowledge Points, Assessment Requirements, and Explanations
This section is the main content of the self-study guidance and provides necessary explanations for the assessment requirements. The content is flexible, including answers, hints, or extensions of important material related to the assessment requirements.
2. Key Points and Difficulties
The key points are the core content of the chapter, i.e., the content with a high probability of being assessed, and are pointed out according to different levels such as assessment knowledge points and assessment requirements. "Difficulties" are not limited to confusing or hard-to-understand content but also include easily overlooked or misunderstood points.
3. Problem-Solving Guidance
Through examples or explanations, it guides students on the approach to solving problems.
4. Review Questions and Exercise Hints
It provides necessary hints or solutions for the review questions and exercises in the textbook.
5. Preliminary Explanations
This section covers a wide range, as it involves the preliminary explanations and annotations of the main textbook.
