Features: This book is based on the "Advanced Mathematics (I) - Calculus," a designated textbook for the National College Entrance Self-Study Examination, published by Wuhan University Press and edited by Gao Ruxi of Fudan University. Considering the "part-time" and "self-study" characteristics of self-study examinees, to more effectively help candidates master advanced mathematics and pass the national unified examination smoothly, we have made the following efforts in this book: First, in light of the fact that some self-study examinees may lack or have forgotten basic high school mathematics knowledge, this book lists the essential knowledge needed to learn "Advanced Mathematics (I) - Calculus" in the preliminary section. Second, for each chapter of the textbook, this book identifies the "basic knowledge, basic theories, and basic methods" that need to be mastered, emphasizing the internal connections between knowledge and issues to pay attention to during learning. Third, this book provides solutions to all the exercises and review questions in the designated textbook, organized by chapter and section. Fourth, to give self-study examinees a comprehensive understanding of the depth and breadth of national unified examination questions, while keeping the book's size manageable, we selected 12 sets of national examination questions from the second half of 1996 to the first half of 2002. Fifth, we always believe that learning mathematics requires "using both hands and brains"—merely reading is not enough to develop skills! Sixth, to restore the original form of national unified examination papers, we have recombined the scattered questions and appended them at the end of the book.
