Features: This book focuses on the international comparative study of corporate groups. It is well-known that corporate groups first appeared in Japan after World War II. During Japan's post-war economic reconstruction and subsequent development, corporate groups played a significant role in optimizing resource allocation, promoting technological advancement, facilitating industrial structure rationalization, and enhancing competitiveness, making substantial contributions to Japan becoming a major economic power in the world. In other developed countries, corporate groups also play a crucial role to varying degrees. This book employs research methods from disciplines such as economics, management, law, and sociology to conduct an in-depth study and comparison of the formation origins, processes, methods, characteristics, functions, internal governance structures, and external operating environments of corporate groups abroad. It analyzes and summarizes the experiences and lessons learned from foreign corporate groups, combining the context of Chinese corporate groups and individual cases to examine the main issues in the development of Chinese corporate groups. It innovatively researches countermeasures to address these problems and, in the current new context, studies the medium- and long-term development strategies of Chinese corporate groups. This book highlights that talent and team competitiveness are key aspects of the competitiveness of Chinese corporate groups. The talent strategy of Chinese corporate groups primarily has two fundamental tasks: one is to unleash employees' potential, creativity, and sense of responsibility for the company's development; the other is to establish and maintain a rational talent structure based on business positioning and development needs, aiming to build a professional management team skilled in innovation and with high comprehensive qualities, as well as a high-quality practical talent force in production lines led by senior technical personnel.
