What are the normal signs in newborns?

Patient's question:

My baby is a premature child, and I was very worried about the child's condition from the beginning. Recently, the child has appeared with this series of conditions, and I am also very worried, afraid that the child will become worse. Please ask what symptoms are normal in newborns

Doctor's answer:

The baby's symptoms may be jaundice, which is the yellowing of the sclera caused by jaundice.
Most newborns may develop skin jaundice within the first week of birth, which is due to the deposition of bilirubin on the skin surface, known as newborn jaundice. Full-term newborns typically experience physiological jaundice that resolves within 2 weeks after birth, while premature infants usually see it resolve within 3 weeks. No special treatment is required.
Guidelines:
If the baby has jaundice symptoms at birth and it does not subside after the full moon, it should be considered whether it is pathological jaundice. Pathological jaundice is caused by diseases that lead to abnormal metabolism of bilirubin.
