Features: A warlord of both wisdom and courage, a master of military strategy who never tasted defeat in his lifetime. He single-handedly forged the elite cavalry of Kai Province and took cavalry tactics to their peak as an exceptional strategist. In his tumultuous life, only Uesugi Kenshin could trouble him, and only illness and death could overcome his whirlwind. The Warring States period of Japan was a time of fragmentation, with warlords vying for power. Surrounded by mountains, the valleys of Kamo River and Fue River quietly flow through a fertile land. This is Kai-fu—the birthplace of Takeda Shingen. At the age of 20, the young hero exiled his father, following the teachings of "The Art of War": "Swift as the wind, steady as the forest, aggressive as fire, immovable as a mountain." Where his banners pointed, victory was inevitable. Over decades of military campaigns, he was always focused on directly targeting Kyoto to unify the nation. Shingen's life of military glory was accompanied by countless romantic tales—sometimes decisive and ruthless, sometimes tender and affectionate. Beyond his politically unhappy marriage, Shingen had numerous passionate love stories. He lived a life of freedom and unreserved emotions, leaving nothing unfulfilled. Yet, just as final victory seemed within reach, he inexplicably fell victim to illness, forced to gaze regretfully at the distant Kyoto.
