Features: With the development of China's communication infrastructure, a number of medium-sized and larger libraries have gone online, providing information services to the entire country and even the world. However, the amount of information we can provide, especially Chinese information, is still insufficient. Although we have rich and distinctive collections, the digitization of these resources still requires significant investment in human and material resources. Currently, China does not have an online joint cataloging center, interlibrary loan services have not been widely implemented, and the level of resource sharing is still very low. Therefore, it is indeed the core content of our informatization to pragmatically improve the development and utilization of information resources. The purpose of editing and publishing the "Manual of Computer Cataloging Technology" is precisely for this reason. This manual consists of four parts: "Detailed Rules for Compiling Bibliographic Database Records," "Guide to Machine-Readable Cataloging Formats," "Detailed Rules for Chinese Subject Heading Work," and "Procedures for Quality Control of Bibliographic Database Data for Chinese Literature."
