A decoction of 10 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 12 grams of Poria cocos, 12 grams of Dioscorea opposita, 10 grams of roasted Coix lacryma-jobi, 10 grams of Evodia rutaecarpa, and 10 grams of Crataegus phosphorata can be prepared and taken once daily.
Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency is often characterized by prolonged diarrhea without cessation, loose and clear stools, cold limbs, pale complexion, and lethargy. A decoction of 3 grams of Zingiber officinale, 3 grams of Aconitum carmichaelii, 10 grams of Garcinia atroviridis, 10 grams of roasted Atractylodes macrocephala, and 12 grams of Dioscorea opposita can be prepared and taken once daily.
Single Herbs, Effective Formulas, and Patent Medicines
Fu Zi Li Zhong Wan is used for prolonged diarrhea due to Spleen and Kidney Yang deficiency. Can Ling Bai Zhu San is used for prolonged diarrhea due to Spleen deficiency. Jiao Shanzha, Chicken Gizzard, and roasted Dioscorea opposita are mixed in a 1:1:2 ratio, ground into a fine powder, and taken 2 grams at a time, three times daily, for prolonged diarrhea due to Spleen deficiency.
Topical Application of Herbs
