Patient's question:
Lately, my boss has said that I'm not in good spirits and it's affecting my work performance. Actually, I don't want to, either. I often can't sleep at night and sometimes feel anxious and uncomfortable. If it gets worse, I'm worried it will affect my health and work. Also, is there any good way to treat blisters on the hands and feet and a sore tongue in a three-year-old child?Doctor's answer:
For acute-phase symptoms such as low-grade fever or no fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, or poor appetite and nausea, the "Yinqiao Powder" formula can be used. If there is persistent high fever, dense distribution of blisters on the mouth, hands, feet, buttocks, and limbs, the "Qingwen Baaidu Yin" formula can be used. For complications such as unrelenting high fever and frequent coughing with shortness of breath, the "Jizhao Lianhuang Wan combined with Shenfu Tang" formula can be used.During the recovery phase of the illness, for children with dry mouth and sore throat, Shachen Maidong Tang can be modified by adding Shengdihuang (fresh rehmannia root) and Lugen (coptis rhizome) to nourish yin, generate fluids, clear heat, and moisten the throat. If blisters appear in the child's mouth, one of the following can be applied to the affected area: Xigua Shuang (watermelon frost), Bingbeng San (ice borax powder), or Xili San (tin powder). For severe blisters on the hands and feet, one of the following can be used, mixed with sesame oil and applied to the affected area: Ruyijinhuang San (golden flower powder) or Qingdai San (indigo powder).
