Features: To promote and popularize scientific knowledge about climate and climate change, and to enhance public scientific understanding of global change issues, we have organized the compilation and publication of this series, "Hot Topics in Global Change." This series consists of 18 volumes, written by renowned experts in relevant fields. The content covers the following three aspects: First, based on a large amount of monitoring data, it reveals the key facts of global change and their manifestations in various subsystems. Second, based on interdisciplinary theories such as solar radiation, atmospheric chemistry, atmospheric physics, environmental and ecological evolution, it explains the causes of climate change in an accessible manner. Third, guided by the theory of sustainable development, it proposes various strategies, approaches, and methods for human adaptation and mitigation of global change. The publication of this series aims to provide people with a clear and comprehensive scientific understanding of global change, thereby encouraging greater attention to global change and fostering a broader and higher-level recognition of China's role and position in global change. It also encourages active participation in collective decision-making for human society and the protection of the Earth's environment.
