Features: Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area, covering most of the northern part of the North American continent. The eastern end of Canada begins at Cape Spear in Newfoundland, while the western end ends at the border between the Yukon Territory and Alaska, spanning 5,514 kilometers. The northern end starts at Cape Columbia in the Northwest Territories, and the southern end ends at Middle Island in Lake Erie, stretching 4,634 kilometers. Canada is surrounded by three seas on three sides: the Atlantic Ocean, the Arctic Ocean, and the Pacific Ocean. Its southern and western borders are adjacent to the United States, while its northeastern border faces Greenland. The land area of Canada is 3,560,000 square miles (9,221,000 square kilometers), and the total area of its land and freshwater is 9,976,100 square kilometers. 88% of the land in Canada is covered with tundra, taiga, boreal forests, and lakes. Canada possesses vast land, mountains, plains, lakes, rivers, and bays, along with abundant natural resources such as grasslands, forests, and mineral deposits. Its boundless forests, snowy landscapes, and the beautiful, tranquil lakes and mountains are places that attract tourists. Canada's geographical environment determines the distribution of its population. Currently, only about 10% of the country has permanent settlements, with most areas uninhabited due to climate and terrain. Only Prince Edward Island is completely inhabited. Over 50% of Canada's population lives in urban areas. The population density in remote areas is less than one person per square kilometer, while in urban areas, it exceeds 5,000 people per square kilometer.
