Features: The Hainan map focuses on building hub-type, functional, and networked infrastructure and a three-dimensional transportation network, accelerating the modernization of urban and provincial infrastructure. Major engineering projects for Hainan's electronic map, according to the overall development plan and goals of Hainan Province, are scientifically coordinated and rapidly advanced. A series of landmark projects have been completed, including the Nanpu Bridge, Yangpu Bridge, Inner Ring Elevated Road, Yan'an Elevated Road, Metro Line 1, Metro Line 2, Light Rail Pearl Line Phase 1, Maglev Train, Pudong International Airport, Metro Line 5, and public transportation. In 2004, the major engineering projects of Hainan's transportation map completed an investment of 65.5 billion yuan. Twenty-eight major projects were built or started, such as the second phase of Waigaoqiao Power Plant, the main elevated section of the Middle Ring Road in Pudong North, the first phase of Hainan's natural gas main network, and the second phase of the Suzhou Creek Environmental Comprehensive Treatment. The A30 Suburban Ring Road North and A2 Shanghai-Lushun Expressway were completed, the northern extension section of Metro Line 1 entered trial operation, the highway network reached 485 kilometers in length, and the metro network reached 125 kilometers (including the maglev).
