Features: The 27th Army is a heroic unit with a glorious revolutionary history and fine traditions. This unit was born on the Jiaodong Peninsula in 1935, initially as the Kunchashan Red Army guerrilla unit. During the difficult days when white terror gripped Jiaodong, under the leadership of the Party, relying on its unique geographical and human advantages, the unit employed flexible tactics to engage in a relentless struggle against the landlord armed forces of the reactionary regime, laying the foundation for the Party to launch large-scale armed uprisings and establish bases in Jiaodong. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, with this unit as the backbone, the famous Tianfushan Anti-Japanese Uprising was held in Wengde County in 1937, marking the beginning of the anti-Japanese struggle in Jiaodong. In battles such as the bloody fight at Leifumiao, the fierce battle at Daqingyang, the attack on Wandi, anti-sweep campaigns, anti-encirclement campaigns, the liberation of Yantai, and the liberation of Pingdu, the unit over 70,000 Japanese, puppet, and stubborn troops. During the War of Liberation, this army fought in battles such as the attack on Laiwu, the assault on Menglianggu, the capture of Zhoucun, the capture of Weixian, and participated in campaigns like Jinan, Huaihai, the Yangtze River Crossing, and Shanghai,“”. In the Korean War, crossing the Yalu River, this army participated in the second and fifth campaigns and the defense of Jincheng. In the second campaign, they inflicted heavy damage on the U.S. "Ace" Marine Corps 1st Division and completely annihilated the 31st of the U.S. 7th Division, setting an example of combat. During the war years, the 27th Army emerged 59 heroic units and 387 heroic individuals, such as the "Jinan," "Weixian," and "Huaihai Campaign First-Class Merit." They were known for their courage in fighting major, tough, and fierce battles, their skill in strategy, and their ability to fight cleverly and skillfully.
