Features: Improving writing instruction and enhancing students' writing skills is an important task in Chinese language teaching. However, for many years, middle school Chinese textbooks have lacked a practical and student-guiding supplementary teaching material. Taking junior high students as an example, relying solely on the 200-plus texts in six textbooks over three years is far from sufficient to gradually improve their writing abilities. Moreover, a significant portion of these texts, though exemplary, are difficult to imitate and achieve. For this reason, we have specially compiled this book for junior high third-year students and Chinese language teachers based on the requirements of the Chinese language teaching syllabus. The greatest feature of this book is its perfect complementarity with the newly compiled Chinese language textbooks. Not only does it align with the textbook in terms of format and arrangement, but it also synchronizes with the textbook in selection types, model text commentary, writing guidance, and unit training. We hope that this book can assist both teachers and students in overcoming challenges related to writing instruction and composition practice in each unit of the textbook.
The 120-plus model texts selected for this book are from outstanding compositions by students across the country, with many being award-winning works. These essays all speak the truth, express sincerity, and convey their own voices, offering advantages such as being easily accepted and imitated by junior high students. They are highly beneficial for students to improve their writing skills and achieve better results in the junior high school entrance examination.
The teachers who participated in the commentary for this book have years of teaching experience in middle schools. They begin by dissecting the writing prompts, inspiring literary ideas, and refining thinking processes, then analyze the meaning behind the texts with a focus on junior high students' actual writing practices. They provide targeted commentary on the model texts, striving to avoid generalization and repetition. However, due to the experimental nature of this writing approach and the urgency of the project, there may inevitably be shortcomings and errors. We sincerely hope that will kindly offer their advice and corrections.
