Features: China is a large country with exceptionally rich dietary culture. After going through stages of not having enough to eat, having enough to eat, eating well, and eating wonderfully, people are now focusing on the therapeutic effects of food. To adapt to this new trend, at the invitation of Rural Reading Press, this series of family-friendly "Family Dietary Therapy Series" has been specially compiled. This series is edited by Li Chunli and Zhang (Minxin) of Jiangnan University (formerly Wuxi University of Light Industry), with contributions from Duan Zhenhua, Wang Weihua, Chen Dewei, Shi Senlin, Yu Shuibao, Xiao Gongnian, and Wang Liang. The series will gradually introduce family dietary therapy guides for various major human diseases, providing practical methods for people to follow a scientific diet and prevent illnesses. This book is one of the "Family Dietary Therapy Series," primarily introducing dietary therapy methods for hypertension. Hypertension is a common and frequently occurring disease among middle-aged and elderly people, with a significant number of patients in clinical practice. With the improvement of people's living standards and the intensification of social competition, the incidence of hypertension is increasing, and the average age of onset is trending downward. For early-stage and mild cases, dietary therapy plays a crucial role. It not only avoids the pain of injections and medications but also helps prevent diseases through daily diet. For patients who must take antihypertensive drugs, dietary therapy can also serve as a basic supplementary treatment, often helping to alleviate symptoms, shorten the course of the disease, and accelerate physical recovery. Therefore, using food to achieve the purpose of preventing and treating hypertension has special significance. This book primarily introduces various symptoms of hypertension, dietary principles and taboos for hypertensive patients, natural foods for preventing and treating hypertension, dietary therapy methods for hypertension, the recovery of a large number of hypertensive patients in China, and helpful preventive measures for normal people to avoid hypertension.
