Features: "Chatter Stories" is a segment introduced by Beijing Television Station's Youth and Children's Center, a renowned children's program called "Seven Colors." It features two somewhat unruly puppet parrots, Lao and He-ma, telling historical stories to children. The format is lively, interspersed with some witty humor, blending the styles of crosstalk and storytelling, making it highly appealing to kids. Now, it has taken a step further, transforming the witty humor into comic strips. The program's writers have used many metaphors to describe this attempt: "New bottle, old wine"—the wine is good, a health supplement, but the packaging is too outdated. If you switch to a frosted or glass bottle, people will be more willing to buy it, "Sugar-coated pills"—the pills are for health, but they can be bitter, and children are reluctant to take them. Once sugar-coated, they become snacks for children to enjoy; "Nutrition fast food"—it's fast food, convenient and clean, yet beneficial to health. It doesn't lack in calories, taste, or nutrition.
