Features: The full name of the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is "International Communication English Test," which is an English proficiency test designed for people who use English in international work environments. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) developed the TOEIC in 1979. Over 2.5 million people take the test globally each year, making it the most authoritative professional English assessment standard worldwide. It is adopted by more than 60 countries and 5,300 large multinational corporations to assess the English communication skills of their employees. The Vocational Skills Assessment Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the People's Republic of China has introduced the TOEIC, the preferred global standard for professional English proficiency tests, and is responsible for administering the TOEIC in China. In addition to the standard ETS/TOEIC score certificate "TOEIC Official Score Certificate" issued to test-takers by ETS, the Vocational Skills Assessment Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security will award the "Professional English Proficiency Certificate" based on TOEIC test results. This marks the first time an authorized examination institution in our country recognizes a professional English certification standard from abroad, representing an important step for China to align with international practices in the field of vocational skills certification.
To help more test-takers achieve high scores in the exam, we have introduced this "TOEIC Test Training Course" edited by the renowned English education expert, Mr. Liu Yi. This series consists of 8 books. One of its features is that all questions come with detailed Chinese explanations, making it convenient for teachers to explain and for candidates to study. Among them, the "TOEIC Test Practice Tests" (①–④) are completely modeled after the exam format, divided into Listening and Reading sections. For the convenience of candidates, each question is accompanied by a translation and explanation, with the Listening section provided as a 45-minute CD included with the book. The "TOEIC Listening Test" covers the latest business information, such as online marketing, corporate mergers, and commercial advertising, with detailed Chinese explanations for each test. The "TOEIC Vocabulary" comes with 4 audio cassettes, recorded by American experts, allowing you to memorize words while improving your listening skills.
