Can babies with fever in summer use air conditioning?

Patient's question:

Lately, my boss has said that I'm not in good spirits, which has affected my work performance. Actually, I didn't mean to, either. I often can't sleep at night and sometimes feel anxious and uncomfortable. If it gets worse, I'm worried it might affect my health and work. By the way, can babies have a fever in summer and still use air conditioning?

Doctor's answer:

It is recommended to use physical cooling methods, such as applying a 25%–50% alcohol bath for physical cooling. Alternatively, cold compresses can be used by placing a damp cold towel on the forehead, wrists, and calves, while other parts of the body should be covered with clothing.
There are many causes of respiratory issues in children. If a child is diagnosed with a respiratory condition, parents need to cooperate with the doctor for immediate treatment, including gastric decompression, and develop good hygiene habits. The child should maintain a balanced diet and avoid stimulating and cold foods.
