How long can a baby's head support itself?

Patient's question:

I am 36 years old this year, and I have recently been feeling unwell. During the day, I sometimes feel dizzy, and it has affected my work. I can't sleep at night, and the medicine I took doesn't seem to work well. How long can a baby's head support itself?

Doctor's answer:

At two to three months, the baby can lie on their stomach and lift their head about 45 degrees. Between four to five months, they can lift their head up to 90 degrees.
From one to two months, when touched on the palm, the baby will clench their fist tightly. They will immediately focus on large toys when they hear sounds. This is part of their normal growth process.
Children's bodies have weaker immunity, so they are more prone to pediatric general surgery issues. For parents, it's important not to panic. Instead, they should take the child to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner. Additionally, routine check-ups should be conducted for the child, and medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
