Features: With the advent of the information science era, to meet the needs of rapid development in electronic information science and technology, and in line with the spirit of the Ministry of Education's notification on implementing the "Reform Plan for the Teaching Content and Curriculum System in Higher Education," this book organically integrates the content and systems of three core hardware courses for computer science students—"Circuits," "Fundamentals of Analog Electronic Technology," and "Fundamentals of Digital Electronic Technology"—to form a new curriculum system titled "Fundamentals of Electronic Technology." The main features of this curriculum system are demonstrated in the following aspects:
1. Through integration, the overlapping content across the three courses is consolidated. To ensure the depth and breadth of the content presented, instead of simply deleting redundant material, this book adopts a method of contextual integration, where the consolidated content appears in related chapters in the form of basic principles and practical application examples.
2. By integrating the content of "Circuits," "Fundamentals of Analog Electronic Technology," and "Fundamentals of Digital Electronic Technology," the curriculum fosters students' abilities to analyze and solve problems, enhances their capacity to utilize knowledge from various disciplines to discuss specific issues, and improves their overall academic competence.
3. Through integration, the teaching plan is optimized, ensuring that students complete the course in their second year, thereby laying a solid foundation for subsequent specialized courses. Additionally, during the narrative, the book guides students in understanding physical concepts, emphasizes theoretical reasoning, encourages open-minded thinking, and consciously trains students to explore and discuss the same problem from multiple perspectives and using different methods. This approach helps students master the concept of solving a single problem in multiple ways, deepens their understanding of fundamental concepts and knowledge, enhances their problem-solving skills, and improves their overall academic competence.
In the process of problem-solving, the book guides students to use MATLAB software for numerical calculations and introduces EWB simulation software, encouraging students to verify theoretical knowledge through simulations. This practice bridges theory with practice, deepens students' intuitive understanding, and improves learning efficiency.
This book organically integrates the content of the original three textbooks—《Circuits》, 《Fundamentals of Analog Electronic Technology》, and 《Fundamentals of Digital Electronic Technology》—to form a new textbook system titled 《Fundamentals of Electronic Technology》(Volume 1 and Volume 2),which can be completed in two semesters instead of the original three.
This book primarily introduces the knowledge of digital electronic technology, with the main content including: Chapter 1: Fundamentals of Digital Logic; Chapter 2: Logic Gates; Chapter 3: Combinational Logic Circuits; Chapter 4: Sequential Logic Circuits; Chapter 5: Pulse Generation and Shaping Circuits; and Chapter 6: Digital-to-Analog and Analog-to-Digital Converters.
In addition to the above content, the appendix introduces how to use EWB and MATLAB software to simulate digital circuits.
