Features: This book is a revised version based on the 3rd edition of "Chinese Character Input and Editing Technology." It is divided into 10 chapters. Considering the current state of computer applications, in terms of operating systems, we have replaced Windows 97 in the 3rd edition with the currently popular Windows XP. In the aspect of Chinese input methods, we have retained the original methods such as Locating Method, Full-Stroke Method, Intelligent ABC, Wubi Method, and 98 Wangma, while adding the content of Erbi Input Method and Zhengma Input Method. In terms of editing software, we have replaced Word 97 with Word 2002 (Word XP). The book uses 5 chapters to explain the basic knowledge of Word 2002, which can meet the readers' general requirements for operations such as Chinese input, editing, tables, and layout (including mixed arrangement of text and graphics). It does not provide more detailed explanations for the comprehensive and in-depth use of this software. The book is divided into 10 chapters. The first 4 chapters give a macro introduction to computer Chinese processing, explaining various Chinese input methods such as Locating, Full-Stroke, Intelligent ABC, Wubi, 98 Wangma, Erbi, and Zhengma, allowing readers to choose according to their needs. Chapter 1 also briefly introduces the preliminary knowledge of Windows XP. The last 5 chapters focus on explaining the basic functions of Word 2002, including general knowledge of input, editing, tables, and layout. To help readers achieve better learning results, Chapter 10 of the book is exercises and hands-on guidance, available for teachers and students to use, and a comprehensive exercise is attached at the end of the book. This book is suitable for students of various secondary vocational schools to use in computer basic courses, and can also be used as teaching materials for various short-term training courses or self-study.
