Patient's question:
A child just born doesn't know what's going on, there are always red spots on their body, and they are spitting up milk. How should acute enteritis in babies be treated?Doctor's answer:
(1) First, you should rest in bed, keep warm, and fast for 12 hours. Gradually reintroduce small amounts of liquid food, such as rice soup, lotus root starch, or thin porridge, and slowly return to a normal diet.(2) Take appropriate pain and diarrhea relief measures. Oral belladonna tablets can be used. For severe diarrhea, you may eat toasted bread slices or cooked millet porridge to help stop diarrhea.
(3) Encourage increased fluid intake. Refer to "First Aid Measures for Acute Gastritis" for details.
(4) Mild cases may not require "anti-inflammatory drugs." Commonly used medications include lactobacillus tablets, berberine, and ciprofloxacin.
(5) In cases of severe diarrhea with dehydration, seek immediate hospital treatment for intravenous fluid therapy.
