Features: Chinese television has entered the era of planners, which has become a consensus among many television professionals. Encouraged by their peers, the author finally dared to tackle this vast and complex system engineering—television planning theory. This is a path never taken by predecessors, and no matter how fast we move, it continues to extend before us. In recent years, the rapid development of Chinese television planning has made it clear that existing theories can no longer encompass it. Although the author has strived to improve practicality, operability, and readability, aiming to better serve practice with theory, our research can never fully keep pace with reality. Television planning theory is always a past accomplishment, while only its practice is in the present tense. So, what can this book offer readers? Mainly two things: first, it provides inspiration and enlightenment for television professionals engaged in planning practice, awakening their creative thinking; second, it opens a door for the study of television planning theory and builds a basic framework for systematic theoretical research. Therefore, we sincerely hope for the criticism of experts and peers in the television industry. These valuable opinions will help revise the book for its second edition.
