Features: Mike and Paul have compiled an excellent and practical reference book that covers a very broad range, from basic concepts to real-world Web applications. Trying to "think in .NET" might take you some time, but once you truly understand it, you will be able to build powerful, more scalable, more secure, and amazing Web applications, all while having a lot of fun. ASP.NET was released alongside Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET platform and is not just a simple upgrade from ASP 3.0; it provides many entirely new features for developing Web applications. This book includes all the key knowledge points needed to build a successful Web application on Microsoft's .NET platform, including creating Web pages with Visual Basic .NET, using ADO.NET for data access, creating and using Web services, and configuring and deploying ASP.NET solutions. This book is highly suitable for beginners and intermediate programmers to learn from, as well as for students of universities, colleges, and training courses as a reference.
