How to Add Solid Foods to a Baby

Patient's question:

I don't know if he has this condition, and his mental state isn't good either. Could you please ask how to add complementary foods for children?

Doctor's answer:

The first complementary food to be added should be the yolk. Boil the eggs, peel the shells, take out the yolks, and grind them into powder. Initially, feed the baby 1/8 of a yolk per day, gradually increasing to 1/4, 1/2, and eventually the entire yolk. The yolk powder can be mixed with boiling water and given to the baby between feedings; it can also be mixed directly into rice porridge. Around 6 months, you can switch to yolk congee; at 7 or 8 months, the baby can start eating steamed eggs (including the white).
