Patient's question:
I am 36 years old this year, and recently I've been feeling unwell. During the day, I sometimes feel dizzy, and it has affected my work. I can't sleep at night, and the medicine I took isn't very effective. What should I do if a child twists their ankle?Doctor's answer:
Ankle sprain, appropriate rest is needed. Patients who do not receive proper and good treatment have a 3 to 4 times higher likelihood of re-injuring the ankle compared to those who are treated. For initial acute-phase injury patients whose injury does not involve ligament tissue, as long as conservative treatment is followed, including principles of rest, ice application, compression bandaging, and elevating the affected limb, a satisfactory outcome can often be achieved.
