A two-month-old child with capillary bronchitis is it serious?

Patient's question:

The child just born doesn't know what's going on, there are always red spots on their body, and they are spitting up milk. Is it serious if a two-month-old child gets capillary bronchitis?

Doctor's answer:

Acute bronchitis, if caused by bacterial infection, can be treated with the following antibiotics: sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim 0.05/kg/day, taken orally twice daily; penicillin 3-5 million U/mg/day, administered intramuscularly twice daily; midecamycin; erythromycin 30-50 mg/kg/day, taken orally 3-4 times daily. If there is no clear bacterial infection or mixed infection, ribavirin 10-15 mg/kg/day, administered intramuscularly twice daily, or 5 mg/kg/day, administered intranasally twice daily, can be used or added. Alpha-interferon 200,000 U/day, administered intramuscularly, may also be tried.
