How to handle a baby who is accustomed to eating and sleeping

Patient's question:

The baby is 9 months old. He likes to sleep while drinking milk, otherwise he will cry. What should I do?

Doctor's answer:

Most babies start sleeping well around 3 months old. It's normal for them to fall asleep while eating. If you have enough breast milk, there's no need to add formula. Eating more food can help increase your milk supply.
When my baby was nursing, I didn't care what others thought about my weight. I ate two bowls of rice with soup and vegetables at every meal.
Once the baby is full, take the nipple out of their mouth. Don't let them keep it in their mouth, as this habit can be hard to break later. If the baby is sleeping, don't feed them. For formula-fed babies, feed them every 3-5 hours.
