Is it serious if the baby has constipation?

Patient's question:

Symptom Description: My little baby is already 57 days old. When he was born, his bowel movements were normal, but after the full moon, he often suffers from constipation, even going six days without a bowel movement. I use glycerin suppositories, and I'm wondering if there is a better method. Also, is it a problem if my baby often has constipation? Thank you!
First Follow-up Question: Is it bad to use glycerin suppositories frequently? I have already started giving him carrot juice, but he is still constipated.

Doctor's answer:

Childhood constipation is mainly due to insufficient dietary fiber intake? This is because many children dislike vegetables and prefer high-fat, high-cholesterol foods. Some parents lacking health knowledge also fail to guide their children properly, leading to slow gastrointestinal motility, poor digestion, and prolonged retention of food residue in the intestines, which ultimately causes constipation.
Childhood constipation can be resolved painlessly through the following methods:
(1) Gently rub the child's abdomen with the palm of your hand, starting from the navel and moving in a clockwise direction. Massage 10 times, rest for 5 minutes, then massage another 10 times. Repeat this process 3 times.
(2) Have the child lie on their back and perform leg flexion and extension movements by lifting and lowering both legs 10 times. Then, repeat the movement with one leg only 10 times.
(3) Apply an oily topical medication (such as tetracycline ointment) to the child's anal opening. Place a soft paper under it and gently push and press the anus, gradually doing this 10 times. Typically, the child will soon feel the urge to defecate or have a bowel movement.
