Features: The Sea Wolf is one of the important works of the renowned American writer Jack London (1876–1916). A ferry sinks in San Francisco Bay, and the writer Humphrey drowns but is rescued by the sealing ship The Devil. The ship's captain, known as "The Wolf of the Sea," is fierce and brutal. He forces Humphrey to stay on board as a laborer. During the voyage, the ship rescues Mod, a female writer adrift after a steamship disaster. She strikes up a friendship with Humphrey at first sight. One day, the two escape in a dinghy and land on a frozen small island. Soon, all the sailors on The Devil betray "The Wolf." "The Wolf" suffers a stroke and becomes blind, drifting to the island with the ship. Humphrey and Mod repair the damaged The Devil, hold a sea burial for the deceased "The Wolf," and set sail toward their homeland.
