Features: Great eras call for great figures. There are humble, unsung heroes whose virtues would make Alexander the Great seem insignificant. The protagonist of this book is an ordinary person who doesn’t believe he holds any significance in the history of this great new era. He humbly walks his own path, leaving no one disturbed, and no journalists come to disturb him, asking for an interview. If you ask him for his name, he will reply in a simple, humble tone: "I am ?vejk." Indeed, this silent, unassuming, and poorly dressed man is our good soldier ?vejk.
