Features: Although Wang Chong's life was brief, he left behind a considerable number of artistic treasures that had a significant influence on later generations. Taking running script as an example, Ming Dynasty literary figure Tang Shunzhi (Mr. Jingchuan) and early Qing Dynasty's Eight Great Mountains (Baishan) all had a period of studying Wang Chong's style. As a result, readers can perceive to varying degrees the artistic charm of Wang Chong's calligraphy—its sparse elegance and graceful, refined beauty—in their works. Additionally, the Zhu Yunming calligraphy "Cao Zhi Poetry Collection" in the Shanghai Museum is also highly similar in style to Wang Chong's. The late renowned calligraphy and painting appraiser Mr. Liu Jiudan even proposed the theory that "Zhu copied Wang's calligraphy." As for small regular script, the number of later generations who practiced it to become masters or traced back to the Jin and Tang dynasties in Wang Chong's name is too numerous to list.
