Features: "Lecture Series on Humanities · Chinese Culture and Globalization" published by Sujiaoshe is imbued with the deep affection of leading scholars in contemporary Chinese literary circles, holding high academic value and social significance. The topics are directly derived from the lectures. The birth of this "Lecture Series on Humanities" originated from an unprecedented humanities academic lecture event— the "Southeast University Centennial Celebration Humanities Forum" at the beginning of the 21st century, becoming a precious witness in the history of Chinese academia. These lectures are a distillation of scholars' years of research, often integrating thorough preparation with spontaneous improvisation. They use rich materials to explain professional and profound academic issues in an accessible manner, making them engaging and fascinating to read. Truly a treasure trove of essence and diversity. To broaden the impact of this humanities spectacle and these cultural resources rich in insightful and perceptive thoughts, enabling more readers to engage in thinking, exploration, and exchange, the organizers established an editorial committee to compile this "Lecture Series on Humanities." When planning this series, emphasis was placed on its humanities content, so the selected lectures were strictly limited to the fields of literature, history, philosophy, and art. Centered around the lectures of the "Southeast University Centennial Celebration Humanities Forum," it also includes some outstanding humanities lectures from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. It can be said that this "Lecture Series on Humanities" embodies the academic essence of China's outstanding humanities scholars and contains their earnest hopes for younger generations of scholars. Renowned sociologist Fei Xiaotong, at the age of 93, happily accepted the appointment as the Chief Consultant for the "Lecture Series on Humanities." The Chief Consultant, renowned national scholar Ji Xianlin of Peking University, sent a scroll with the phrase "Like spring rain nourishing the soil, joyfully cultivating talent" and a lecture titled "Saguntala" delivered at Peking University. Renowned philosopher Zhang Dainian provided his early lecture "The Basic Spirit of Chinese Culture" for inclusion in the series and was appointed as the Chief Consultant. Renowned scholar Qian Zhonglian, at the age of 95, specially wrote the inscription "Cultivating talent and uplifting the nation, with a long-standing tradition" for the series. Renowned national scholar Rao Zongyi of The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Chinese Culture Center, as well as a group of distinguished scholars including Wang Yuanhua, Zhang Xinggang, and Tang Yijie, were respectively invited to serve as consultants for the "Lecture Series on Humanities."
