Doctor's answer:

Air China's regulations state that infants over 14 days old and in good health are allowed to fly. It is recommended that before flying, parents take the baby to an otolaryngology department for a sound conduction test. If the test results are normal, the baby can board the flight. However, if the baby has symptoms such as nasal congestion or a cold, it is not advisable to fly. This is because during the ascent and descent of the aircraft, the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the middle ear can interfere with the eardrum.
To help equalize pressure, it is a good idea to feed the baby milk during takeoff and landing, or use a bottle to feed them, or let them suck on a pacifier. For children and teenagers flying, allowing them to chew gum or eat and drink can also help increase the pressure on the eardrum.
